I was LIYO’s first concertmaster, and back then there were all sorts of challenges.  But Martin Dreiwitz deserves great credit for overcoming the many obstacles and providing an enriching experience for all the participants – particularly those (like me) who were unable to benefit from a good high school music program.  I’m grateful to Martin Dreiwitz, and I send him my warmest regards.
